There are so many funny moments I shared with Rad...most of these I will keep between us and our friends. But in general, he just had a certain lightness about him that was such a pleasure to be around. There was never a dull moment that I spent with him. I loved him so much. His smile, his voice, his laugh, the twinkle in his eyes, his physical presence will be so sorely missed.
Rad saved our butts on the Snake River multiple times in the summer of 2014. He was working for the Snow King resort, while me and some of our other friends were working for Mad River rafting company. We got into some trouble on the river, and Rad stepped up to the plate to get out of a sticky situation with great composure and leadership. Really we should have been the more reliable ones (b/c of our Mad River experience), but his selflessness and bravery saved us that summer at least twice by my count. He was hilarious, he was brave, he was kind, he was truly one of a kind person. Rad, the world feels so much lonelier without you in it. Not as funny, not as lively, just a more serious and lonely place. But I know you were so strong in your faith and that gives me great solace. You are somewhere with our Lord and Savior, probably having a ball - laughing, joking, and cracking Him up just as you made us laugh so hard for so many years. You were such a great friend. I am so grateful for the time you were in my life. I love you and already miss you so much, Reid
