Diamond Cross Ranch hosted their first annual Heaven on Earth event last August. I made sure Rad had a clear schedule so he could go. I sent him constant reminders and updates leading up to the day so he wouldn't forget or mistakenly schedule a showing for the same day. We'd share songs by Maverick City Music we were listening to, in hopes those songs would be played.
During the first worship set, Rad tapped me on the shoulder and hugged me, thanking me for making sure he went. He said it was really special and needed.
After dinner, there was a country artist playing. It was a quiet, intimate setting - but we couldn't stop laughing! The lyrics of the song were the exact reason why country music gets made fun of, haha. I can't remember them exactly - something about beer and Heaven, hah. We were trying to be serious and quiet, but we were just laughing.
