In Share Your Memory
Gosh, where to even begin. Rad was a human unlike any other. Never in my life have I met a more friendly and kind hearted human. His faith moved mountains and his heart was one of gold. One of my favorite memories was (shockingly) a hike in the park with both Margaret, Rad, and a few others. We happened to be hiking up the Lupin Meadows trailhead to go to summit disappointment peak, when we ran into Rad. Clearly Rad was going to summit something much cooler than we were. But what a start to the morning it was. From some very dark and creepy bear scares to bad weather moving in, we all decided that we would turn around as a group. It was a morning spent chasing Rad and Margaret up the mountain until I could finally catch up on the downhill. Though we did not submit, we certainly had a lot of laughs. And what else would Rad rather do than summit a mountain on a rainy day? A hot yoga class at inversion of course. So that is just what we did. From the mountains straight to the yoga studio, where once again I spent the afternoon trying to keep up with Rad. Another time I was at Bin 22 having wine with a friend when I ran into Rad and a coworker of his. The night quickly escalated from one bottle of wine to... well I don't quite remember. We spent hours outside at a picnic table where there were endless laughs, and from there we ended up back inside closing down the restaurant. As we were about to leave the restaurant, Rad just so happened to spill a glass of red wine, on my favorite white pants! He could spill a million more glasses of red wine and I would do nothing except laugh.
As a fellow bulldawg who also made my way to Jackson after graduating from college, I have had so many fun Saturday's at bulldawgs of JH celebrating many wins (and some loses) alongside Rad. To know Rad was to love Rad. There was not a single person that knew him who could say a single bad thing about him. He was the life of the party and could always bring a smile to anyone's face. Being out and about in town there were so many times that I ran into Rad in the middle of a work or school day, and I could have spent hours talking with him every single time. He genuinely cared. These are just a few of the memories that come to mind when I think about Rad. I feel so honored to have had my life touched by Rad's. Rad truly lived. He did the things that he wanted to, was successful in his career, all while maintaining relationships with so many people. Rad - Heaven gained the goodest of the good, the best of the best. Love you eternally.
